Summary:
Lotus Cars Europe B.V. is responsible for the Marketing, Sales and After Sales of the Lotus Cars products in the European region. To bring the company to the level we want it to be we are looking for an internationally focused Procurement Specialist in the Purchasing Department to join us in our European HQ in Amsterdam.
As Senior Procurement Specialist you report directly to the Procurement Manager and you are part of the Sourcing team responsible for the sourcing strategy, supplier selection, negotiation and contract execution. As we are setting up our European HQ there are much suppliers to onboard and contracts to review and negotiate.
Together with the team you will implement procurement standards and processes and make sure that we buy the best quality at a fair rate. Also you will maintain an excellent relationship with our preferred suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the procurement operations to ensure that the procurement operations are carried out under the premise of reasonable and compliance
- Responsible for ensuring that suppliers adhere to the LOTUS General Purchasing Terms & Conditions specified on the purchase order
- Set up contracts and resolve challenges for implementing the Procurement guidelines
- Interact with corresponding departments within Lotus Cars Europe of the HQ to ensure a smooth operation of the Purchasing Process
- Responsible for organizing & applying RFQ’s and bidding processes.
- Negotiate terms and setting up contracts together with the legal department
- Manage risk assessment of external suppliers
- Leverage and negotiate pricing on combined volumes of purchases at various locations with industry leading suppliers to reduce the cost of goods and overheads.
- Prioritize saving opportunities and take a unified approach with our various purchasing locations on a regional and global level
- Provide spend, savings & value contribution reporting
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree and N.E.V.I. 1 or similar purchasing/commercial education
- previous purchasing experience, automobile industry experience is a plus
- experience in negotiations and setting up contracts with external suppliers
- expert in RFQ, bidding management and supplier management comprehensive understanding of economic correlations
- experience with SAP systems and Docusign
- High level of interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills in English
- Computer Proficiency in Microsoft Office software like Outlook, Word, Excel, Power point is a must
