To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for a Head of Commercial Control - UK in the Group Finance Department to join us in our European Headquarter based in Amsterdam.
Summary:
As the Head of Commercial Control, leading a small team, you will be the key point of contact for all finance-related queries within the UK region. This is a leadership role where you will work closely with the region's management team, oversee audits, manage budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensure the integrity of financial data. You will also lead the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems, contributing to the overall success of the business.
What you'll do:
- Business Case Validation: Validate business cases, deals, and other commercial proposals to ensure financial accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.
- Audit Management: Lead the coordination and completion of both external and internal audits, ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and policies.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee the preparation and analysis of actuals, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
- Internal Controls: Establish, maintain, and monitor effective internal controls across the company to safeguard financial data and ensure regulatory compliance.
- System & Process Improvements: Identify and implement improvements to financial systems and procedures, driving efficiency and corrective actions where necessary.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Monitor and analyze financial data, producing actionable reports that provide business insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Project Management: Lead and support a wide range of finance-related projects across the organization, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable results.
- Integrity of Financial Function: Safeguard the integrity of the financial function by ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and business ethics.
What you'll bring:
- Education & Certification: Certified Accountant with a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field from a recognized university.
- Experience: Proven experience in finance, accounting, and/or internal control, ideally in a senior or leadership position.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Process Improvement: Demonstrated experience in identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements within a finance function.
- Self-Starter: Highly motivated and proactive with a strong desire to drive improvements and achieve results.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex financial data and make sound, data-driven decisions.
- Time Management: Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Information:
- This role will be working from our Amsterdam office within our flexible working policy
- Frequent travel will be required to visit different entities. Applicants must therefore possess the ability to travel freely without restrictions.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the Netherlands without VISA sponsorship.
