Lotus Cars Europe B.V. is responsible for the Marketing, Sales and After Sales of the Lotus Cars products in the European region. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for an internationally focused HR Business Partner - Europe in the HR Department to join us in our European HQ based in Amsterdam.
Summary:
This role will focus on providing strategic HR guidance and expertise to drive organizational effectiveness, with a particular focus on change management and project management for Lotus Cars Europe. The successful candidate will bring strong knowledge of Dutch, German, French, and/or Italian labor laws and will be based in Amsterdam with occasional travel required. As EU HR Business Partner, you will work closely with regional and local teams to implement HR strategies, support organizational change, and ensure compliance with local employment regulations across key European markets.
What you'll do:
Change Management:
· Lead change management initiatives to support organizational restructuring, helping leaders and teams to adapt effectively to new strategies, processes, and structures.
· Develop and deliver change management plans, communications, and training to engage employees throughout the transition.
HR Strategy and Business Partnering:
· Collaborate with the HR Manager and business leaders to align HR strategies with organizational objectives and business goals.
· Provide guidance on talent management, workforce planning, and employee engagement initiatives, specifically tailored to the needs of Europe, in particular for the NL, Nordics, Germany, France, and Italy.
· Work closely with the HR Director and department heads to provide updates, guidance, and support on HR initiatives.
· Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Lotus Cars Europe, facilitating open communication and promoting a positive workplace culture.
Labor Law Compliance & Employee Relations:
· Provide expert advice on labor law compliance for Europe, especially for the NL, Germany, France, and Italy, including employee relations, disciplinary procedures, and policy updates.
· Ensure HR policies and practices adhere to local laws and align with company standards, while proactively managing legal risks.
· Act as main point of contact for employee relations issues, addressing concerns, and resolving conflicts professionally and in compliance with local labor laws.
· Conduct investigations, manage disciplinary actions, and advise managers on employee relations matters in alignment with local requirements.
Talent Development and Performance Management:
· Support managers in identifying training and development needs and facilitating talent development programs.
· Guide performance management processes, ensuring consistency across regions and providing coaching to managers on employee feedback and development.
What you'll bring:
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR Business Partner role, with a strong focus on change management and project management.
- Extensive knowledge of Dutch, German, French, and/or Italian labor laws and experience working in multi-jurisdictional environments.
- Proven experience in managing HR projects and implementing change management processes.
- Proficiency in English, with fluency in German, French, or Italian highly preferred.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe
- Must have a practical mind to solve problems

Additional Information:
- This is a full-time position with a 12 months fixed-term contract.
- This role will be working from our Amsterdam office within our flexible working policy
- Frequent travel will be required to visit different entities in Europe. Applicants must therefore possess the ability to travel freely without restrictions.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the Netherlands without VISA sponsorship.
