Lotus Cars Europe B.V. is responsible for the Marketing, Sales and After Sales of the Lotus Cars products in the European region. To bring the company to the level we want it to be, we are looking for an International Audit Specialist in the Finance Department to join us in our European HQ based in Amsterdam.

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced International Audit Expert to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations through comprehensive audits and strategic assessments. As an integral part of our audit team, you will play a critical role in evaluating the effectiveness of our financial processes, internal controls, and compliance with regulatory standards.

You will be responsible for leading and conducting complex audits of financial statements, internal controls, and compliance processes. Your role will involve developing and implementing audit strategies, evaluating risk management practices, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

What you'll do

Audit Leadership and Strategy:

- Lead and conduct complex audits of financial statements, internal controls, and compliance processes.

- Develop and implement audit strategies and plans that align with organizational goals.

- Evaluate the effectiveness of risk management practices and identify potential areas for improvement.

Reporting and Communication:

- Prepare detailed reports summarizing audit findings, recommendations, and outcomes.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes and controls.

- Provide expert guidance on accounting practices, regulatory changes, and industry standards.

Mentorship and Collaboration:

- Mentor and train junior auditors to build internal expertise and capacity.

- Assist external auditors by supplying relevant documentation and insights.

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in a finance-related field, familiar with international accounting standards and US accounting standards.
• 6+ years of work experience in one of the Big Four accounting firms (experience auditing US-listed companies) or 8+ years in a large group of companies (responsible for financial statement disclosure of US-listed companies).
• In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and present actionable insights.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with audit software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
